Buckhead engagement photos at Duck Pond Park - Lily and Jacob

Earlier this year, I was given the incredible honor of capturing Lily and Jacob’s wedding this December — and I could not be more excited. Their big day will take place at the Taylor Grady House, an absolutely beautiful venue here in town. I’ve driven by it countless times, always dreaming of the day I’d get to photograph something there.

Lily and Jacob are both former Athens residents, and this town holds a special place in their hearts. And honestly — how could it not? Athens is full of rich music history, amazing food, and of course, football. It’s a place that just sticks with you.

During our discovery call, we immediately clicked — bonding over our love for the Athens coffee scene and our favorite restaurant, Heirloom (RIP 💔). These days, they live in a beautiful Buckhead neighborhood, and when it came time to plan their engagement session, we threw around a few location ideas. Athens, Monroe, or somewhere in between — I’m always down to travel wherever feels right for my couples.

We ended up choosing Duck Pond Park, a quiet little spot tucked away in their neighborhood. It was the perfect setting for their engagement photos — soft, sweet, and full of genuine connection. We shared laughs, swapped stories, and vibed to the coolest playlist Jacob made, full of jazz and swing love songs.

Getting to know these two and capturing such a tender chapter in their story was such a joy. It means the world to be trusted with their wedding day, and I truly cannot wait for December to get here. It’s going to be so special.

With Gratitude -
